Leonardo Sciascia Study Group

In addition to our Leonardo Sciascia workshop in the afternoon of Friday 2nd May 2014, in the morning of the same day we shall be holding a study group for AS- and A-level students and undergraduates. The study group will be held by current and recent doctoral students from the University of Leeds (Silvia Bergamini) and the University of Oxford (Teresa Franco). It will consist in an introduction to the historical and political context of 1970s Italy (in English and/or in Italian), followed by close reading of selected passages from Il contesto (in Italian). It is open to all students with an at least intermediate level of Italian.

Date and time: Friday, 2nd May 2014, from 11 am to 1 pm

Venue: TORCH, Radcliffe Humanities Building, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG

This morning event too is free, but we would be grateful if any students and accompanying teachers wishing to take part could please register by emailing elisabetta.tarantino@mod-langs.ox.ac.uk by 27th April.

This is a separate event from the afternoon workshop. If you wish to attend the workshop as well, please see www.italianstudies.ox.ac.uk/Sciascia2014 for details on how to register.
