Destination Italy

In May 2010 ISO won a Leverhulme Trust award to set up an International Network to investigate representations of migration in contemporary media and narrative (film and literature). The Network is called "Destination Italy", and will bring together scholars working in the U.K., Italy, New York, Australia and Egypt through a series of events over the next 24 months.

As part of the "Destination Italy" project, ISO will also set up a comprehensive databank of Italian films dealing with the subject of migration. This has received further funding from the John Fell Fund.
